Trail: An Architecture for Compact UTXO-Based Blockchain and Smart Contract

چکیده
In Bitcoin and Ethereum, nodes require a large storage capacity to maintain all of the blockchain data such as transactions. As September 2021, size has expanded 355 GB, it increased by approximately 50 GB every year over last five years. This requirement is major hurdle becoming block proposer or validator. We propose an architecture called Trail that allows hold blocks in small generate validate A node holds without transactions, UTXOs account balances. The 8 kB, which 100 times smaller than Bitcoin. On other hand, client who issues transactions needs proof its assets. Thus, compared traditional blockchains, clients must store additional data. show proper archiving can keep device small. Then, we method executing smart contracts using threshold signature. more users be proposers validators improves decentralization security blockchain.

NECTAR: Non-Interactive Smart Contract Protocol using Blockchain Technology
Blockchain-driven technologies are considered disruptive because of the availability of dis-intermediated, censorship-resistant and tamper-proof digital platforms of distributed trust. Among these technologies, smart contract platforms have the potential to take over functions usually done by intermediaries like banks, escrow or legal services. In this paper, we introduce a novel protocol aimin...
متن کاملAn Architecture For Contract-based Communicating Agents
We extend AgentSpeak (L), a belief-desires-intentions architecture, to reason about and plan with contracts between communicating agents. Our architecture is hybrid in the sense that it incorporates both immediate reaction rules and a more complex planning component. We represent contracts as first-class entities to allow the relationships between agents to be specified and developed separately...
متن کاملA Blockchain-Based Architecture for Collaborative DDoS Mitigation with Smart Contracts
The rapid growth in the number of insecure portable and stationary devices and the exponential increase of traffic volume makes Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks a top security threat to services provisioning. Existing defense mechanisms lack resources and flexibility to cope with attacks by themselves, and by utilizing other’s companies resources, the burden of the mitigation can be...
متن کاملEnhanced TLS Handshake Authentication with Blockchain and Smart Contract (Short Paper)
Transport Layer Security (TLS) is the main standard designed for secure connections over the Internet. Security of TLS connections against active Man-in-the-Middle attacks relies on correctly validating public-key certificates during TLS handshake authentication. Although Certificate Transparency (CT) and further improved CT system—IKPmitigated the certificate authentication issues from the per...
متن کاملEvaluation of Logic-Based Smart Contracts for Blockchain Systems
While procedural languages are commonly used to program smart contracts in blockchain systems, logic-based languages may be interesting alternatives. In this paper, we inspect what are the possible legal and technical (dis)advantages of logic-based smart contracts in light of common activities featuring ordinary contracts, then we provide insights on how to use such logic-based smart contracts ...
